My BioWaveGO is turned on and all it does it beep and blink orange lights.
Answer: Please make sure that the lead wire cable is firmly connected to the BioWaveGO, firmly connected to the pain relief pads and that the pain relief pads have good adhesion to the skin.
I cannot get the BioWaveGO and the App to pair.
Answer: Make sure the Bluetooth function is turned on, then connect the BioWaveGO to your body and turn on the BioWaveGO first. Turn the App on and you should hear a beep once your phone has paired with the BioWaveGO.
The pain pads are not sticking to my skin
Answer: It is important that the skin is cleaned/prepped prior to placing the Pain Relief Pads on the skin. Rub the skin vigorously with a dry or slightly wet towel, in the two areas the Pain Relief Pads will be placed.

Is BioWave different from TENS?
Short answer – Yes, BioWave is superior to TENS. BioWave blocks the pain signal at pain nerves in deep tissue. TENS just acts as a distraction at the surface of the skin.
Is BioWave a TENS unit?
BioWave is not TENS. TENS low-frequency signals cannot pass through skin because of the skin’s impedance. As a result, TENS creates a sensation at the surface of the skin which MAY act as a distraction to the patient’s pain. BioWave utilises a summed high-frequency signal technology that passes through skin directly to nociceptive pain fibres. The charge at the surface of the pain fibres causes a multiplication of the high-frequency signals resulting in a low-frequency electric field that encompasses the pain fibres and interrupts action potential propagation along C-fibres, inhibiting the transmission of pain signals to the brain. The electrical field also induces hypoesthesia on A-delta fibres creating a light numbness surrounding the pain site. This primary mechanism of action is known as Frequency Conduction Block Theory.

Is BioWave just masking the pain or is it providing a healing effect?
In addition to blocking the pain signal, BioWave can help reduce inflammation because there is increased blood flow in the region being treated beneath and surrounding each electrode. Can I use BioWave with a pacemaker or defibrillator?
No, BioWave cannot be used (is contraindicated) for patients with implanted pacemakers and defibrillators.
Can I use BioWave with a pre-existing medical condition?
Yes, BioWave can be used on patients with pre-existing medical conditions. BioWave treatments can be performed directly over locations of the body that have implanted orthopaedic hardware like total joints, plates, anchors, screws or pins, rods or plates. However, BioWave cannot be used (is contraindicated) for patients with implanted pacemakers and defibrillators.
How long does a battery charge last?
On a single charge of the battery, BioWaveGO can provide up to 4 30-minute treatments before re-charging. BioWaveGO will not work if the AC charger is still connected to the device.
